| GRENIER Gite - sleeps six in three bedrooms |
Grenier gite sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor there is an open plan living dining area
and a medium sized kitchen to the front. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, 4 ring gas
hob, mini work top electric oven/grill, microwave, fridge freezer plus drinks refrigerator and all
basic crockery and cutlery. An open tread, cast iron, spiral staircase takes you to the first floor
with double bedroom and single bedroom, both of which have draws and hanging space. there is
a modern bathroom with bath, shower facility, toilet and basin, with loads of hot water and good
pressure.. The staircase continues to the second floor - a large open attic bedroom with 3 single
beds. There is a small wardrobe and 2 sets of draws.We recommend that this room is used by
older children who are able to safely negotiate the spiral staircase to visit the bathroom at night,
however a stairgate can be provided. There is a large cot on the spacious landing but a travel cot
can be provided if needed in another room.
The cottage has a small patio area to the front and rear. The table and chairs are situated at the
front. The charcoal barbecue is at the rear. This cottage is next to the lane, which may be a
consideration for families with toddlers. The lane is very quiet - being used only by our guests
and our neighbours, and there is a gate which should only be used occasionally by our guests - it
is left closed but not locked. The cottage was originally used as a grain store. It has exposed
stone walls on all 3 floors . The thick stone walls create a cellar like effect and in the heat of the
summer, the cottage is a welcome escape from the midday sun. Like Papillon it is quite a dark
cottage.
